NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC: FRAUDULENT SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS IMPERSONATING THE BSE

The Barbados Stock Exchange (BSE) has been made aware of fraudulent activity in which individuals are falsely representing themselves as employees or agents of the BSE and soliciting funds from members of the public, including promises of guaranteed or unusually high investment returns.

Please note that these individuals, and/or accounts, are NOT affiliated with us.

The BSE wishes to advise the public as follows:

  • The BSE does NOT solicit investments from members of the public.
  • NO employee of the BSE will contact any person to request funds or solicit investments.
  • The BSE does NOT accept cash, deposits, or any other form of payment from investors. All securities transactions are conducted through Registered Brokers.
  • The BSE does NOT offer guaranteed returns or investment schemes (e.g., “$500 for $10,000”).
  • If any person receives such a solicitation, they should NOT send funds and should immediately report the matter to the BSE via our official contact channels for verification.

Members of the public are urged not to send money to any individual claiming to represent the BSE and to exercise caution when approached via telephone, email, WhatsApp, social media, or other messaging platforms.
