In light of recent events surrounding COVID – 19; and given the public health and safety concerns indicated by authorities, the Barbados Stock Exchange (BSE) wishes to provide notice to market participants of the following measures taken during this global pandemic.

We are giving this situation special attention and have considered the possible impact it imposes on all of our daily operations. With this in mind, the BSE is cognizant of the unavoidable challenges that may be encountered by Listed Companies in meeting their statutory filing obligations pursuant to rules 4.01.2, 4.0.1.3 and 4.0.1.4 of the Rules of the BSE.

In this regard, we wish to advise that an extension period of 45 business days will be granted to Listed Companies to file Audited and Unaudited Financial Statements. This extension period is specific to companies expected to file on March 31st or April 30th, 2020. Conditions may change subject to the progression of this crisis.

Should any Listed Company encounter difficulties in meeting the above-mentioned timeline, please see BSE Rule 4 .01.2(2) regarding filing extensions for additional guidance.

Finally, as we attempt to protect the health and safety of our employees and stakeholders, we ask that all fees scheduled to be paid to the Barbados Stock exchange Inc. (BSE) and its subsidiary, the Barbados Central Securities Depository Inc. (BCSDI) be done electronically.
